MACHESNEY PARK, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — Harlem fans had two wait two extra hours to watch their Huskies open the football season Friday night due to a lightning delay. It was worth the wait.

Their Huskies struck like lightning outscoring the Blue Thunder 55-14. Braxton Fausett passed for 118 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 58 yards and one touchdown. LeBron McClelland caught six passes for 100 yards and two touchdowns. Tykeese Duncan rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns on 9 carries.

Jackson Cook added a 75-yard punt return for a touchdown.

Harlem came into this season with very high expectations. This win will only enhance those. Belvidere North went 9-0 in the NIC-10 last season. The Blue Thunder will regroup and get ready for another big game next week against Guilford.
