GEORGETOWN, Ky. (FOX 56) — The Cardinals return a lot of offensive firepower led by senior running back and Mister Football candidate Timmy Emongo. Emongo is flanked by fellow senior and thousand-yard rusher Skyler Way and junior quarterback Charlie Ellison.
"Just being serious. I'm just taking it, you know, week by week and then by day, you know, we can't really worry about game 15 if we haven't, you know, played week one yet. So, we're just kind of taking it week by week and just, you know, enjoying it and making the most out of this," said Timmy Emongo when asked about how the team is approaching the tough schedule.

Scott County will face Franklin County, Bowling Green, Woodford County, Madison Central, and Highlands during the regular season. The Cardinals, though, are prepared for the tough grind and know that the state title is won over the season, not after one game.
"You can't even think about any of that kind of stuff. You know, you will. That's your job and other people's job, but you got people anoint somebody as a champion. That doesn't always work out that way. The time to put in the work. The time to win is today," said head coach Jim McKee.
Scott County will start the regular season at home on August 21st against the Franklin County Flyers.
