Alabama's return to the Little League World Series has been far from quiet as Phenix City pitcher Kinley Rasmus has made headlines for her electric arm.
Rasmus, the daughter of former MLB pitcher Cory Rasmus, dealt fastballs and sweepers to keep the scoreboard 0-0 for her team as it faced the Northwest representatives, Tacoma (Washington), in game two of the Little League World Series. She is one of two girls pitching in the 2026 LLWS and the 25th to ever do so.
The work continues her tear from the Southeast region championship, in which she helped secure Phenix City's spot as one of 20 teams in Williamsport, Pennsylvania for the tournament with a complete game shutout and eight Ks.
