San Diego FC is having a poor MLS season, sitting 13th in the Western Conference with 21 points in 18 matches, courtesy of a 5-6-7 record and a plus-three goal differential. San Diego FC has only fared slightly better in Leagues Cup play, as the MLS side opened its campaign with a 3-1 loss against Club America before bouncing back with a 1-0 win over Club Tijuana. Scoring the winner in the latter match for San Diego FC was Bryan Zamble, who found the back of the net in the 22nd minute.
Club Puebla, meanwhile, has gotten off to a slow start to this Liga MX Apertura campaign, sitting 11th on the table with just four points through three matches, winning once, losing once and drawing once on the season. The club has an even-zero goal differential so far in Liga MX play. Club Puebla has struggled mightily in Leagues Cup, too, falling 5-2 against the Portland Timbers to open the tournament before then falling 3-0 to Austin FC.
Will Club Puebla be able to bounce back and find a win against MLS side San Diego FC? Or will San Diego FC be able to win a second match in a row? Find out on FOX Sports 1 at 10:00 p.m. ET.
