The SEC is still in search of its first national championship since Georgia's triumphant win over TCU in 2023, but the conference continues to produce more high-end talent than any other in college football.
This was once again reflected in The Athletic's preseason All-America teams, with the SEC leading all conferences in representation for the fifth time in the last six years.
Among the SEC's selections this year is Florida running back Jadan Baugh, who earned a spot on The Athletic's preseason All-American second team. The junior landed on the preseason All-American second team alongside Miami's Mark Fletcher but behind Missouri's Ahmad Hardy and Ole Miss' Kewan Lacy, who earned first-team nods.
Baugh was electric last season, rushing for 1,170 yards and eight touchdowns, while also contributing 210 receiving yards and two touchdowns through the air. Under new offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner, he will be heavily featured during his 2026 campaign and could potentially end his season as an All-American.
