CRAWFORDSVILLE, Indiana: Jorge Prado took advantage of a great start in Moto 1 of the Ironman Nationals and problems for Hunter and Jett Lawrence to win the first Pro Motocross moto of his career.
He finished more than 10 seconds ahead of RJ Hampshire with Mikkel Haarup rounding out the podium.
The focus entering the race was on Hunter and Jett. One point separated the two riders and in the first half of the race, it briefly appeared Hunter had the advantage.

Jett passed Hunter while he was on the ground, but seemed to refuse to charge from a position in the mid-teens. Once Hunter caught Jett, the defending champion increased his pace and kept Hunter in sight for a few laps.
Hunter cracked the top 10 on Lap 10. Jett remained outside that mark in 13th.
Hunter finished eighth in the moto and commanded a four-point lead over Jett, who finished 11th.
Jett favored his injured ankle as he dismounted his bike.
With the Lawrences out of contention for the top spot and with Deegan battling a damaged bike, the top podium was opened up for new faces.
RJ Hampshire started among the top five, made a couple of passes early, and finished second.
In his final Motocross race in the United States, Haarup had the final podium position until the final lap.
Haarup crashed and fell to fourth.
Aaron Plessinger rounded out the top five.
This was Plessinger's first top five of 2026.
