In his first season with the Houston Rockets last season, future Hall of Famer Kevin Durant performed as advertised, averaging 26 points to go along with 5.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.9 blocks. Durant was once again efficient, shooting 52% from the field and 41.3% from 3-point range, both higher than his career averages of 50.3% from the field and 39.2% from beyond the arc.
This also marked Durant's 18th consecutive season averaging 20 or more and his 17th consecutive averaging over 25 points per game. As a result, Durant now sits fifth on the NBA's all-time scoring list with a top-three spot within range before his retirement. Heading into the 2026-27 season, Durant will operate in a similar role as one of Houston's leading scorers despite nearing the latter stages of his career.
