The Dodgers are first place in the National League West. They're going to be in the mix for a third straight World Series title. But this much is clear: They can't keep getting this version of Kyle Tucker and expect success in October.
The Dodgers signed the four-time All-Star outfielder this past offseason to a four-year, $240 million contract. And for that money, they've thus far gotten a WAR of 0.1 from Tucker. It's seemingly getting worse as Tucker hit a new low on Monday.
Despite the Dodgers' 14-hit effort in an 11-5 win over the Rockies, Tucker had himself an especially rough game. He went 0 for 5, making him hitless in his past 25 at-bats. He also misplayed a routine fly ball for a second straight game.
It's getting brutal for Kyle Tucker.
He just dropped this easy fly ball in right field.

Later in the game, the Dodgers broadcast showed Tucker sitting alone in the dugout as he appeared to be fighting back tears.

Whatever it is, Tucker has looked like a shell of himself with the Dodgers. Something needs to change.
