Kawhi Leonard’s alleged hidden deal with Daktronics receives a furious response from Brian Windhorst.
The NBA is still investigating Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers’ role in the Aspiration scandal, where the franchise allegedly circumvented the salary cap.
With that investigation yet to reach a conclusion, Leonard has allegedly taken a second hidden deal with Daktronics, per investigative journalist Pablo Torre.
The unveiling of the second hidden deal has left NBA analyst Brian Windhorst in anger, as he also questioned LA Clippers owner Steve Ballmer.

However, this time around, the billionaire owner and Daktronics have been tight-lipped. This has made Windhorst angry, as he shared his honest thoughts on the silence on a recent episode of ‘The Hoop Collective’ podcast.
“I can figure out a kickback very easily. I do not have to have, you know, FBI training or, you know, be an assistant U.S. attorney to understand the concept of a kickback.
“Daktronics did not come out with a statement on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. We’ll see what the new week brings,” Windhorst said.
He added about Ballmer, “Lots of haze here. The Clippers didn’t comment, but Slater, this to me is extraordinarily troubling. Story may change in the next 12 hours. I’m not seeing full-throated denials. This one looks a little different to me.”
The lack of complete denials from all parties involved is what continues to give more spark to the alleged scandal. Moreover, why hasn’t the NBA reached a conclusion if Leonard and the Clippers are not guilty?
As things stand right now, Leonard’s trade to the Toronto Raptors hinges on how the NBA’s investigation ends. But so far, things aren’t looking great for the 2x NBA Finals MVP.
