On Saturday, former Seattle Storm guard Lexie Brown posted her thoughts on an individual arrested by the FBI for defrauding women. Sharing a short clip of wire fraud suspect Daejon Love in her Instagram stories, Brown couldn’t help but express her astonishment at Love’s case.

According to reports, the 35-year-old Love was arrested by federal authorities on Monday and charged with wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud. His alleged accomplice, an 18-year-old named Taylor Jamie Chan, was arrested too.
As per the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Love took on “fictitious personas” as he communicated with women via dating apps and social media. One of these personas was a member of the 49ers roster. At times, Love also posed as a real estate investor.
Since 2022, Love and Chan have allegedly defrauded women by leading them to think that they are pouring their money into investment vehicles. The two reportedly received around $1.3 million from 26 victims.
Love and Chan were arrested at an airport in Boise, the same city where they are now held in federal custody.

Brown did appear on Michael Porter Jr.’s “Curious Mike” podcast on Aug. 18. In that conversation, she praised Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham for her longevity in the league.
“She’s legit…She’s been in the league for eight, nine years now. Like, she’s figured out a way. I also think there needs to be an appreciation for players that can stay in the league for so many years.” [Timestamp – 33:55]
Brown added that it’s an “achievement” for WNBA players to go in “different environments” and make significant contributions on and off the court.
