Izayah Vickers is a four-star cornerback prospect in the 2028 recruiting cycle. As a Tallahassee product from Florida State University High School, Vickers is a prime target for FSU, and it began when they offered him last June during their Elite Camp.
The 5-foot-11, 180-pounder took three game visits last season, and he also has one locked in for Florida State's season finale on Nov. 27 against the arch-rival Florida Gators. However, he mentioned recently that another trip to FSU could also take place. One game that's a possibility is the season opener for the Seminoles next Saturday against the New Mexico State Aggies.
"I might make some changes, spur of the moment, head over there. Being this close, if I have a free weekend I might as well just go to the FSU game," Vickers said told Noles247.
Vickers will also get to see Florida State play on Oct. 17 when they travel to take on the Miami Hurricanes. He'll also go visit the Florida Gators on Sept. 26 when they host the Ole Miss Rebels and he'll visit the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Nov. 7 when they play Miami.
He had a strong sophomore year in 2025. Vickers produced 65 tackles, three tackles for loss, seven pass breakups, and three fumble recoveries as a cornerback. He also takes some snaps at safety in addition to playing cornerback.
The 247Sports composite rankings have Vickers as the No. 106 recruit and the No. 10 cornerback in country. In the state of Florida, he's the No. 14 prospect.
This would be a major commitment for FSU to get seeing as Vickers not only a blue-chip talent but a local kid. Several memebers of the Seminoles' staff are constantly in contact with Vickers, and that'll need to continue.
