Novak Djokovic opened up on his health following his Cincinnati Open loss, and the update he gave will sound concerning to his fans.
Novak Djokovic is the greatest men’s tennis player of all time according to a lot of fans. The Serbian has won more majors than any other man in the game’s history.
Djokovic crashed out of the Cincinnati Open in a shocking second-round exit against Thiago Augustin Tirante. Ahead of the US Open, this was a disappointing loss for the legend.
The Serbian called for a medical timeout during the clash, one in which he was noticeably struggling. And after the game, he gave an update that is as concerning as what happened in the match.

Djokovic spoke candidly after the game about his condition. And what he revealed could suggest that the last of the ‘Big Three’ might hang it up soon.
“I have a health problem that has been troubling me for the last few years. I have many problems, especially when the conditions are really hot and humid,” Djokovic said.
“But then there are other things — the nerves and everything that goes with a match. All of that makes it even worse and that was exactly what happened here.”
With the US Open set to begin in just six days, this is less than ideal for Djokovic. If the issues persist and another early tournament loss comes around in the major, it could spell the end for him.
In the past, Djokovic has hinted at the 2028 Olympics as a potential last tournament of his career, but things don’t always go according to plan at the highest level.
