METAMORA, Ill. (WMBD) -- Metamora won the Woodford County Golf Tournament with a team score of 141. Eureka finished in second at 179 with El Paso-Gridley in third at 184 in the two-person scramble format.

Metamora set the tone early on hole two with Piper Crispen sinking a long putt from just outside the green for a birdie. Crispen and teammate Addie Mitchell finished in second overall, shooting a 71, which was even for the course. Gil Tyra and Natalie Zimmerman were the top pair shooting a 70 for -1.

Roanoke-Benson was also in attendance, and they are fielding a girls golf team for the first time in two years. They had two golfers competing in seniors Shea Sauder, who is golfing for the first time in her high school career, and Reese Norman.
