Middlesbrough have signed former Leeds United defender Sam Byram on a free transfer.
Byram, 32, was released by Leeds earlier this summer after his second spell with the Whites.
The defender, who can play at either left or right-back, made 80 appearances for Leeds in the past three seasons, but only five of those came in 2025-26.
He was part of the squad that won the Championship title in May 2025.
"I've been around this league for a number of years and had a couple of promotions in that time, so I know what it takes," he told Boro's website.
"It's an incredibly tough league and a long season, but it's a great squad and great group."
Byram is the ninth player that Boro have brought in during the transfer window.
