MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) - Midland High graduate and Arizona State graduate student Aniya Clinton is earning preseason recognition once again, being named to the 2026 Big 12 Volleyball Preseason Team for the second consecutive season.
Clinton earned the same honor in 2025 while at Kansas State before transferring to Arizona State this past year.
Now entering her first season as a graduate student at ASU, Clinton brings an impressive resume. She was named to the 2023 All-Big 12 Rookie Team during her redshirt freshman season at Kansas State.
According to Arizona State, Clinton helped the Wildcats advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament last season, appearing in all but two matches.
She was also named to the 2025 All-Big 12 Second Team after finishing second on Kansas State with 351 kills. Clinton recorded double-digit kills in 18 matches, including three performances with 20 or more kills, and posted nine double-doubles on the season.
Now at Arizona State, Clinton will look to build on her success as she begins the next chapter of her collegiate career.
