After appearing in just four games during his three seasons with Maryland football, quarterback Cameron Edge was named the starter at Morgan State on Saturday.

Edge lost the quarterback battle to Taulia Tagovailoa and Billy Edwards Jr. during his final two seasons in College Park, but completed six passes for 100 yards with one passing touchdown in 2023. He transferred to Eastern Michigan following the 2024 season.
Still, with no playing time during his lone season as an Eagle, Edge joined his third school in three seasons. Morgan State is looking to rebound from its worst season since 2021 after going 4-8 in 2025.
