Aug. 18—FARMER CITY — The Monticello girls' golf team carded a collective 367 to win the Mike Hendricks Invitational on Monday at Woodlawn Country Club, with medalist Cate Sanders' even-par 72 leading the way.
Sophie Billedo's third-place score of 93 also helped the Sages, who outpaced Prairie Central (413) and Arcola/Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond (416) among the eight-team field.
Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley's Lily Sizemore placed second in the individual medalist chase with a 91, while Arcola/ALAH's Olivia Gisinger took fourth with a 95.
Shelbey McCool led Westville.
Kimmel shines for Raiders in dual match
BRADLEY — The Manteno girls' golf team outlasted Iroquois West by one stroke in a dual match on Monday at Aspen Ridge Golf Course, with medalist Kaia Kimmel leading the Raiders with a 42.
Karsyn Arie chipped in a 55 for Iroquois West, which also received a 58 from Paige Miller.
The Raiders finished at 222, compared to a 221 team score for Manteno.
