LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Quincy Rhodes Jr., a senior defensive end for the Arkansas Razorbacks, is garnering attention as a potential first-round pick in the upcoming NFL Draft following a standout 2025 season. Rhodes, affectionately known as QJ, has always had the support of his family, particularly his father, who recognized his son's athletic potential at a very young age. "He was about five months old, and he was crawling. And I looked at him, and I noticed he was the first baby that I saw the muscles in his back,” his father recalled. “And then he had extremely big thighs. So I was like, ‘Oh, he’s going to be an NFL player.’”
Interestingly, Quincy had the chance to enter the professional ranks last year but opted to stay in college. While some may have questioned this decision, for Rhodes, it was clear. He expressed, "I feel like there’s a lot of things I needed to grow, like, mentally, physically before I took that next step in my career. And because his father was like, no, you stay here. And it was more so for his safety,” Rhodes Sr. said. “But in defiance of me, he did what was right. So when he does things like that, it reminds me that I did raise him right."

"Being from North Little Rock, I never saw myself here,” Rhodes Jr. shared. “My dad’s always believed in me. When I doubt myself, he gets mad because he believes in my vision. This is what I want; I gotta learn. I believe in myself."
As he prepares for the upcoming season, Rhodes Jr. is driven not only by personal ambitions but also by a desire to uplift his community and inspire others from North Little Rock. "I want to be the first person from North Little Rock to show other people that if there’s a will, there’s a way," he stated, emphasizing his commitment to making a positive impact both on and off the field.
