Real Madrid reject enquiries for 20-year-old talent from Italian clubs – Romano

Endrick’s future at Real Madrid has attracted fresh interest, but the club has wasted little time in making their position clear.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Italian clubs have made contact with Real Madrid over the past 24 to 48 hours to ask about the Brazilian forward’s availability.

The response, however, has been unequivocal: Endrick is not for sale, and Los Blancos are not willing to entertain offers for him this summer.

The decision carries weight because it is understood to have the backing of the key figures at the club.

As such, club president Florentino Perez, the Real Madrid hierarchy and new manager Jose Mourinho all want the 20-year-old to remain in the squad, and that message has also been delivered directly to Endrick and his representatives.

Real Madrid close the door as interest grows

The latest enquiries from Italy are not the first signs of interest in Endrick this summer.

As reported before, AS Roma and Aston Villa had already been monitoring his situation, while Manchester United also emerged as a club interested in understanding whether a move could become possible.

For now, none of those clubs have been given encouragement.

Real Madrid’s position is based on more than just keeping hold of a promising young player, as Mourinho has reportedly informed Endrick that he sees him as part of his plans for the coming season.

Endrick endured a difficult first year and a half at the club, struggling to establish himself consistently.

A loan move to Lyon in January, however, offered him the chance to reset his career, and the Brazilian made full use of the opportunity.

He scored eight goals and registered eight assists in 21 appearances during an impressive half-season in France.

That spell gave Endrick regular minutes, confidence and a platform to remind Real Madrid why they invested in him in the first place.

Endrick returned to Real Madrid for pre-season with a different picture in front of him.

Instead of preparing for another uncertain campaign, the Brazilian has received clear signals from Mourinho about his role.

The Portuguese coach rates the forward highly and intends to use him regularly next season, but that does not mean Endrick is guaranteed a starting place.

Competition in the Real Madrid attack remains fierce, and Mourinho will have several options available across the frontline.

For now, the 20-year-old is following an individual training programme designed to limit the risk of further physical problems.

Real Madrid are taking a careful approach with his preparation, but that has not changed their plans for him.
