BOSTON — After a period in which they dropped three straight series, the Red Sox can clinch their second straight series win Saturday night when they take on the San Francisco Giants at Fenway.
The game will be nationally televised on Fox, with the first pitch set for 7:15 p.m.
The Sox won the opener Friday night, 6-4, as Rafael Devers returned to Fenway Park for the first time in a Giants uniform. Devers homered to center field in the fourth inning.
The Red Sox have won five of their last eight and since the All-Star break are 23-11, the best record in the big leagues. Boston is also 15-5 at home since the break dating back to June 25, 20-7 in their last 27 games at Fenway.
The Sox have also homered in six straight games, totaling 10 in that span, their second-longest streak this season. On Friday, Willson Contreras hit the hardest and farthest hit homer of the season at 116 mph off the bat, while traveling 452 feet, over everything in left.
