Report: Bears RB Kyle Monangai will miss weeks with a hyperextended knee

The MRI of Bears running back Kyle Monangai's injured knee diagnosed a hyperextension, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports. Monangai will miss multiple weeks.

Monangai made an early exit from Sunday's practice.

He missed time early in training camp with a soft-tissue injury.

Monangai ran for 783 yards and five touchdowns on 169 carries in his rookie season. He also caught 18 passes for 164 yards. In the postseason, he added 21 carries for 63 yards and five catches for 58 yards.
