The winningest coach in Colorado State women's basketball history now has a lot more time to add to his record win total.
Ryun Williams has signed a contract extension through 2031, CSU announced on Aug. 18.
It comes on the heels of Williams and CSU winning the 2026 Mountain West tournament and making the NCAA Tournament. At the NCAA Tournament, the 12-seed Rams gave No. 5 Michigan State a big scare in the first round but the Spartans won 65-62.
Williams is 281-157 at CSU and the 2026-27 season will be his 14th leading the Rams. He has two of the school's top three winningest seasons: 2015-16 (31 wins) and 2025-26 (27 wins).
CSU's 2026 NCAA Tournament snapped a 10-year drought of making the top postseason tournament for the program. It was the second NCAA Tournament appearance under Williams, while the Rams have played in the WNIT six times.
Williams was the Mountain West Coach of the Year in 2014 and 2016.
The 2026-27 season will be CSU's first in the Pac-12.
Contract details were not immediately available.
