Saints vs Rams live updates: Start time, TV channel for preseason game

We've reached the second week of the New Orleans Saints preseason, and this time the black and gold are on the road. The Saints will kick off their second preseason game with the Los Angeles Rams from SoFi Stadium at 3 p.m. CT/1 p.m. PT, and while they aren't going to play most of their starters, we're still going to learn a lot about New Orleans. Which players are competing for roster spots, or looking to unseat a starter? Which rookies need a good game? And which veterans still have something to prove?

For fans in the Los Angeles area as well as Hawaii and Alaska, tune into KCBS (CBS 2) with J.B. Long, Rob Havenstein, and Jourdan Rodrigue. These affiliate stations will also have the game:

• Jeremy Trottier, Saints Wire: The New Orleans Saints ultimately decided not to utilize many of their starters in preseason Week 1, understandably, but this gave many rookies and backups the opportunity to get either their first NFL reps or at least their first in a while. After a strong showing from Zach Wilson last week, he may have an opportunity to pick up the QB2 slot over Spencer Rattler, and that should be enough of a driving force to propel the Saints to a win. Saints win, 24-20.

Tyler Shough will sit this one out with the rest of the Saints' starting offense, but it'll be Zach Wilson leading the team onto the field instead of Spencer Rattler. Wilson kept the QB2 competition close enough throughout training camp that his stronger performance in the first preseason game earned him a longer look here against the Rams.
