TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— The sound of loud diesel engines will be a part of Terre Haute over the next few days.
The Scheid Diesel Extravaganza is back and organizers promise a lot of fun and plenty of visitors. It's the 30th anniversary of the extravaganza and it has returned to the Wabash Valley Fairgrounds this year. The event is set to run both Friday and Saturday. It features diesel drag racing and pro pulling league trucks, as well as tractor pulling competitions.
"This is a family event, so bring your whole family and enjoy the fun and the competition that we bring to Terre Haute," said Dan Scheid, President of Scheid Diesel.
WTWO also reported that local law enforcement has prepared for the event and is confident that people will have a safe and enjoyable experience like they've had since it started in Terre Haute in 1982.
