The Seattle Seahawks are reigning Super Bowl champions, and while they lost a lot of key players, they did bring back the bulk of their wide receiver room.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba signed a huge extension; Tory Horton and Cooper Kupp are still on the team, and Rashid Shaheed signed a new contract. But so did fan favorite WR Jake Bobo.

Unfortunately, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Bobo reportedly suffered a knee injury at practice that Mike Macdonald told reporters is "serious."

Seahawks' Jake Bobo suffers serious knee injury.

"Seahawks HC Mike Macdonald told reporters that WR Jake Bobo suffered a 'serious' knee injury today," Schefter reports.

This update from Schefter comes after Bobo left Friday's practice early on the cart due to an injury, which Seahawks fans now know is a serious knee injury.

Bobo might not be a high-profile receiving threat, as he had just 20 yards on two receptions last season for the Seahawks.

But the beloved 6-foot-4 receiver caught a touchdown during their playoff run in the NFC Championship against the Los Angeles Rams.

He was going to be buried on the depth chart again this season, and likely wasn't going to see much time. But as a depth WR who can be a factor on special teams, Bobo would've been a good backup.

Now, with this serious knee injury, it appears Bobo is going to miss a lot of time this upcoming season. It could be as serious as a season-ending issue, or it could just force him to miss the first half or more of the 2026 season.

Regardless, this update on Bobo, the fan-favorite receiver, is not good news. Seattle might now need to consider a WR pickup in the next week or two ahead of the season if this injury is as bad as Macdonald is implying.
