Stephanie White has recently praised Indiana Fever player Makayla Timpson following her development in the 2026 season.
Timpson was selected in the second round of the 2025 WNBA draft by the Fever and made her debut for her new team on May 17 of that year.
She was then used sparingly in the remainder of last season, but her role has continued to grow in 2026, and White has now expressed how proud she is of Makayla.

Makayla featured for 29 minutes, scoring 10 points and providing one assist as her team secured a 111-91 win over the Sun.
Now, White has been asked about the 23-year-old’s development in her post-game media interview and expressed that she is ‘so proud’ of her.
The Fever coach also added that Timpson is ‘so coachable’ and a great template for young players.
White said: “I mean, look, I know I always say this, but I’m so proud of her. You know, it’s as a rookie, you come in and your head’s just spinning often times, and then you go into a first offseason and you have no idea what to expect, what to do, because in college, they hold your hand all the time.
“And when we had some hard conversations with KK in February and she came in and she got to work. So the results and the reward is because she was willing to do the work. And so I’m proud of her for that. You know, Keith Porter, our player development coach, was in here every day with her when she came here.
“She came in early, in here every day, continuing to work, continuing to grind, continuing to push. You know, she’s not focused on anything outside of herself for where she is right now. When you watch KK work, she’s working on all the things that we need her to be great in right now for this team for this year, and you see the result of it and our staff and the commitment that we have to continuing to pour into her to continue to hold her accountable and for her for being so coachable.
“She’s a great template and a great resource for young players.”
