SW FL Roundup: Results from the first week of the 2026 fall season

A roundup of Lee and Collier County high school sports for Aug. 17-22, 2026:

Bishop Verot 3, LaBelle 0: The Vikings won 25-22, 25-21, 25-13. Carley Himschoot had 9 kills and 9 digs, Caroline Hathaway had 4 aces in 20 service attempts, and 6 kills and Sam Till added 19 assists. Other standouts were Ellie Lundbohm (9 assists), Chase Hathaway (9 digs), and Riley Hartley and Hailey Printz with 6 kills each.

Oasis 3, Cypress Lake 0: Oasis won at home 25-19, 25-17, 25-15. Miranda Maldonado posted a career-high 19 assists, while Brooklyn Brown posted a double-double in her freshman debut with 17 assists and 13 kills. Sophia Skala and Isa Vargas were dominant at the net with 6 kills each.
