Three former Spartans featured as starters at Eastern Michigan

Week 0 is here, and the official start of the 2026 college football season is just six days away. In week 0, Eastern Michigan will be featured in a home game against Sacramento State.

Not only is Eastern Michigan an opponent on Michigan State's schedule this year, which will make the game have Spartan fan's attention, there is a Michigan State flare on the Eagles roster. On Monday, Eastern Michigan head coach Chris Creighton released his first depth chart of the season and three former Spartans were featured as starters.

Most obviously, Noah Kim is the starting quarterback for a second year with the Eagles. Going along with Kim, on the offensive side of the ball, Cole Dellinger will be tabbed as the starting right guard for the Eagles. Dellinger was with Michigan State from 2023-25 and now will be starting in his first year with Eastern Michigan.

On the defensive side of the ball, Caleb Coley is going to be a starting cornerback for the Eagles. Coley spent 2022-25 with the Spartans appearing in 18 games, recording 15 tackles.
