Bayern Munich is entering the new season with a lot of ambition, which is in no small part thanks to hungry players. Tom Bischof, who was sparsely used in the previous season and missed out on a World Cup berth, is one such player determined to show what he’s made of. When asked if this was his chance to shine (during the spate of preseason matches), he said there were no two ways about it.

“Yes, of course. I saw the long break as a chance,” Bischof said in an interview with Säbener 51 (as captured by X account @iMiaSanMia). “I had a clearly defined plan with the FC Bayern fitness coaches and did some additional work with a personal trainer. It was important to me that everyone knows who’s doing what.”

With shrewd signings and a larger squad than last season (if at all), Bischof is ready to help Bayern sweep the competition and win silverware.
