In a recent post on X, respected journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have reached a loan agreement for Manchester City striker Omar Marmoush. It has been mentioned that Spurs have agreed on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy if certain conditions are met for the Egypt international.

Marmoush’s Decent Numbers In The Premier League

Marmoush managed to catch the eye at times for Man City last season when he put in a run of productive performances for them in the final third. The 27-year-old banged in eight goals and grabbed three assists in 36 matches for the Mancunian club in the previous campaign across all fronts.

The Egypt international is currently among the most talented centre-forwards in the Premier League. Hence, it is no wonder that Spurs have opted to go for a player with his skill set this month.

Marmoush’s current deal at the Etihad Stadium will run out in the summer of 2029. Therefore, it makes sense for Tottenham to agree on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy him permanently next year.

Will Marmoush Be A Good Signing For Tottenham Hotspur Boss Roberto De Zerbi?

Marmoush is a decent dribbler with the ball and can make some driving runs with it in the final third. He has the eye to create the odd chance for his teammates to find the back of the net.

The Egypt international can even shoot the ball with power from long range. Marmoush is primarily a centre-forward but can also serve as a left-winger if asked to do so. He has some experience in the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at London club.

We can expect Marmoush to bring more quality and depth to Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi’s frontline. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the North London club.

At 27, Marmoush is about to enter his prime, which makes him a decent signing for Spurs to pursue in this transfer window. He will also help Tottenham challenge across all competitions in the coming years. Thus, De Zerbi would do well to bring him on board in this transfer window.
