The Philadelphia 76ers have had a lot of success in this current offseason in terms of finding ways to improve the roster. The outset of free agency was impressive with the additions of Dean Wade, Anfernee Simons, and Ariel Hukporti, but then they added Jaylen Brown, LeBron James, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to truly make it a successful offseason.
While Brown and James will get all of the fanfare and the love from just about everybody in the league, and rightfully so, the other additions are just as important. For example, Simons will play a huge role for this group with his ability to put the ball in the basket at a high rate for the second unit.
In 55 games split between the Boston Celtics and the Chicago Bulls in 2025-26, Simons averaged 14.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.4 assists while shooting 38.5% from deep. In preparation for the new season, the 8-year veteran is back in the gym putting in work to get things right.
Great work with @sixers guard and elite bucket getter @AnferneeSimons

Simons will certainly play a big role for Philadelphia in the upcoming season in order to give this team a big push in the playoffs. This is a franchise that hasn't been past Round 2 since 2001 and Simons will look to help change that.
