Two Lady Vols receive 2026 preseason soccer honors

Two Tennessee soccer players received preseason recognition from TopDrawerSoccer.

Freshman forward Ayva Jordan was named to the Preseason Freshman Best XI, while junior goalkeeper Cayden Norris is ranked No. 74 in the Preseason Top 100 Player Rankings.

Jordan is ranked as the No. 6 overall player in the freshmen class by TopDrawerSoccer.

A native of Las Vegas, Nevada, she was named as the 2025 national finals MVP in the Elite Clubs National League. Jordan was a four-time All-American and earned 2021 Player of the Year honors. She also represented the US Youth National Team from U-15 to U-19.

Norris, a native of Johnson City, Tennessee, returns for her second season at Tennessee. She recorded 13 shutouts, including seven consecutive clean sheets, to begin the 2025 season. Norris finished the 2025 campaign with 46 saves and a .793 save percentage. She recorded seven consecutive shutouts to open the 2025 season.

Tennessee will open its 2026 season Thursday versus Rutgers. Kickoff between the Lady Vols and Scarlet Knights is slated for 7 p.m. EDT.
