The Tennessee high school soccer season is now in full swing.
Ahead of the season, The Daily Herald highlighted the area's top returning players and now we're giving fans the chance to select which athlete you believe will make the greatest impact on the pitch this season.
Here are the nominees for The Daily Herald's top TSSAA girls soccer player at the start of the 2026 high school season.
Ashlan Alexander, Battle Creek, So.: Alexander was named to The Daily Herald's All-Area team last season after leading the Grizzlies with 24 goals and 10 assists from attacking midfield.
Savannah Evans, Battle Creek, Jr.: Evans was named to the All-District 8-AA first team last season after scoring 17 goals and providing five assists.
Marley Ayers, Columbia Academy, Jr.: Ayers was an All-Area honoree last season, scoring 11 goals and providing 11 assists from attacking midfield.
Sydney Bratton, Columbia Central, Sr.: Bratton scored 17 goals and provided six assists last season, earning an All-Area nod and District 9-AAA Offensive Player of the Year.
Emerson Massey, Culleoka, Fr.: Massey was an All-District 10-A selection as an eighth grader, leading Culleoka with 19 goals and five assists.
Summer Riley, Summit, Sr.: Riley was The Daily Herald's 2025 Girls Soccer Player of the Year after scoring a program-record 43 goals and providing nine assists. The Florida commit was also named the District 10-AAA Player of the Year.
Ava Sweere, Summit, Sr.: The King University commit was named district goalkeeper of the year last season after leading Summit to seven shutouts while allowing just 18 goals in 18 games.
