Walsall have signed goalkeeper Tom Wooster following his release by Championship club West Ham United.

The 21-year-old has agreed a one-year contract, with the club holding an option to extend it for a further 12 months.

Wooster joined the Hammers in 2025 after beginning his career in Manchester United's youth set-up and played one game in last season's EFL Trophy.

He is Walsall's 13th summer signing and boss Lee Grant told the club website: "He's someone I am familiar with having crossed paths during my playing career at Manchester United and he's really eager to show what he is all about.

"He's young, athletic and an individual who will no doubt provide great competition for both Jed (Ward) and Jenson (Kilroy) throughout the season in the goalkeeping department."

The Saddlers won 3-0 at Gillingham in their opening League Two fixture and are at home to Grimsby Town on Saturday (12:30 BST).
