Rodri has touched down in Barcelona to complete a transfer from Manchester City and already has the Champions League on his mind.
The Spain star, who is set to join Barcelona after a summer spent winning World Cup 2026 with La Roja, had a few words for reporters after being met at the airport this evening.
“Happy to arrive, it’s been an intense few days, I’m thrilled to be here. Playing for Barcelona is a dream,” he said.

Barcelona would certainly love to end their wait to be crowned champions of Europe again and will hope that Rodri’s experience can benefit them in the competition.
The midfielder lifted the Champions League in 2023 with Manchester City and is clearly hoping he can add more titles to his collection at Camp Nou.
Barcelona have splashed out over 70 million euros for Rodri, who is now set to put pen to paper on a four-year contract and join up with his new team-mates.
