Despite an injury-plagued sophomore season, there's plenty of fantasy hype surrounding Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels, who hopes to return to his sensational rookie form in Washington.
According to USA TODAY Sports Fantasy projections, Daniels currently ranks as QB3 in standard scoring leagues - meaning he'll likely be an early-round selection in some leagues.
Here's USA TODAY Sports' Everett Cook on why Daniels might be too expensive to prioritize in drafts:
"This is less about the player and more about the price, as Daniels is usually around the fifth QB off the board. That is right around where Daniels finished in his rookie breakout season and doesn't price in his down year in 2025. If you want a top tier quarterback, don't mess around — get Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson. If you're fine waiting, quarterbacks like Dak Prescott, Justin Herbert and Trevor Lawrence could all reasonably finish ahead of Daniels this season."
USA TODAY Sports Fantasy's latest preseason projections estimate Daniels to throw for 3,380 yards and 25.4 touchdowns, while rushing for 575 yards and 4.5 touchdowns.
