Third-year tailback Tyrone Tracy has been a fixture in the team's offense during his first two seasons in New York, but it appears that his time with the franchise could be coming to a close sooner than expected. According to reporting by NFL.com, Tracy could be a potential surprise roster cut when 53-man rosters are finalized next week.

Tracy has reportedly struggled throughout training camp and preseason practices, and his roster spot is now potentially in jeopardy as recent addition Najee Harris has been getting reps with the first team and is listed among the options at second string on the depth chart.

Tracy appeared in 32 games and started 23 of those contests over his two seasons with the franchise, and has been impressive early in his career – tallying 1,539 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns over that stint. However, he took on a slightly more limited role last year, and it appears the offseason coaching move and recent additions could combine with his rough start to end his tenure with the Giants.
