TOPEKA (KSNT) — The Lady Hornets have found themselves in the middle of the pack ahead of the 2026 season.
Emporia State soccer was selected to finish No. 7 out of 13 teams in the MIAA preseason coaches poll, released on Wednesday.
The Lady Hornets received 85 total points, putting them 19 points above No. 8 Northeastern State.
ESU finished 9-6-5 last season, advancing to the second round of the MIAA Tournament where they dropped the contest 1-0 to Central Oklahoma.
Emporia State will open up it's season on the road against Drury in Springfield, Mo. Kickoff on Aug. 27 is set for 5 p.m.
