NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) -- Due to inclement weather, Saturday's doubleheader game between the Nashville Sounds and Norfolk Tides has been postponed, the team announced.
The regularly scheduled game will resume Sunday, Aug. 23, as part of a single-admission doubleheader. The first seven-inning game will begin at 12:05 p.m., with gates opening at 11 a.m. "The doubleheader will feature two seven-inning games," according to the Norfolk Tides.
The firework shows originally scheduled for Saturday has been rescheduled for Friday, Sept. 4, pending City of Norfolk Fire Marshal approval.
According to team officials, fans with individual tickets for Aug. 22 game may exchange them at the Harbor Park Box office for a ticket of equal or lesser value to any remaining 2026 regular-season home game. The same seats are not guaranteed, and fans will select new seats when making the exchange.
Fans who paid for parking through the City of Norfolk will receive a refund to the credit card used.
