The Denver Nuggets still haven't figured out a solution with youngster Peyton Watson, and time is ticking.

There's hope and expectation that, over the next few weeks, the Nuggets will have a solution to the entire Watson situation.

Whether that be giving him the money he's looking for or sending him to a new team in a sign-and-trade deal, the Nuggets have a lot on their plates to figure out. Ultimately, the organization will have to be smart, though it doesn't sound like he loves the offers that have come in.

According to the latest report, Watson wants to be paid like Christian Braun was, who signed a five-year, $125 million deal.

“As The Stein Line first reported in the below article on July 27, Denver's offers to Watson have been in the $70 million range over four seasons. Watson is believed to be seeking an annual average salary north of what teammate Christian Braun landed from the Nuggets last October in a five-year, $125 million rookie scale extension,” Marc Stein wrote

Watson is unfortunately in a situation where he probably won't get paid because of some of the bad moves the Nuggets have made in recent years.

Had Denver made better decisions, it would likely feel a lot more confident paying a guy like Watson. Instead, they find themselves in a relatively strange spot, something that wasn't expected to be the case when they gave guys like Braun a contract.
