Bryce Rainer did it again.
Rainer, one of the Tigers' top prospects, homered in his fifth consecutive game Wednesday night, Aug. 19, setting a franchise record for the High-A Whitecaps.
The homer run was a blast to left-center field in the seventh inning of the game in South Bend, Indiana. Rainer, 21, now has 15 home runs on the season, split between Low-A Lakeland and High-A West Michigan.
The first home run in Rainer's streak came Friday, Aug. 14, at home at LMCU Ballpark in Comstock Park, and the second came the next day, also at home against Lansing:

— Tigers ML Report (@tigersMLreport) August 20, 2026Rainer was the Tigers' first-round pick (No. 11 overall) in the 2024 Major League Baseball Draft. He began his pro career with Lakeland in 2025, before that season was cut short after just 28 games because of a freak shoulder injury.
Rainer began this season at Lakeland before he was promoted to West Michigan in mid-April.
MLB Pipeline ranks Rainer, a shortstop, as the No. 3 prospect in the Tigers' system. He entered Wednesday night's game batting .270/.376/.473 in 82 games with the Whitecaps.
