Manchester United could well turn their attention to Sander Berge in the closing stages of the transfer window.
Over a month on from the Red Devils facilitating their most recent summer signing in the form of Youri Tielemans, fans are anxiously awaiting more movement amid a general belief that INEOS’ midfield rebuild can’t possibly be over.
INEOS need to get a move on in midfielder searchIn the lead-up to the window, numerous outlets were suggesting United would facilitate at least three arrivals in the middle of the park.

Now, with just four days remaining until United kick off their Premier League campaign away to Hull City, Tielemans and Andrey Santos are the only new faces who are nailed on to play prominent roles.
Would Berge be a suitable final addition?Speaking on the Talk of the Devils podcast last night, Laurie Whitwell of The Athletic claimed that Berge could be a feasible option for United to pursue in the coming fortnight.
“Someone like Sander Berge, who I think United could get for around £40 million,” said Whitwell when weighing up INEOS’ options.
The 28-year-old certainly has enough top-flight experience to his name, having racked up 132 Premier League appearances thanks to his spells with Sheffield United, Burnley, and, for the last two years, Fulham.
Berge did oversee a busy summer due to his involvement at the World Cup with Norway, where he reached and played in the quarter-finals.
It remains to be seen if the player himself would be keen on the move, or whether Fulham would be willing to do business this late in the window.
He is tied to Craven Cottage until June 2029.
